Relaunching "A Breath of Fresh Eyre"
Forced to move from ReVue, this newsletter lands on Substack (but always in your email when you subscribe!)
New beginnings are hard.
I lost all the subscriber list when I didn’t realise ReVue was shutting down in the newsletter hiatus, but starting fresh for 2023 seems fitting anyway.
Why bother?
This newsletter is a way to read what’s going on in our community. It’s the digest of everything I’m offering and facilitating with the Online Writing Community as well as my local write-ins and writing groups and gatherings, so you can choose what you’d like to be a part of and what you’d bring to our table. I also round up places for you to submit and pitch your writing to whether you’re a freelancer, essayist, poet, or fiction writer.
What is a writing community?
Whether you are local to (or visiting) Margate or located somewhere completely different, this is an online space and a real-life location where you can find people to connect with over your writing. What I bring to everything I facilitate is a fun, encouraging atmosphere. No being aloof or elitist. Knowledge-sharing and celebrating achievements whole-heartedly expected! If you want to write in a room with other writers also writing or at the same time as other writers from the comfort of your own home, I facilitate that. If you want to improve or discover more about your writing, the writing groups give you that opportunity. If you want feedback, I can arrange that for you, too. The point of a writing community is to have fun, grow, learn, and know that writing doesn’t have to be a solitary act.
How often is this newsletter published?
Originally, I posted it weekly on Sundays. Though for the sake of my other commitments, I am moving to fortnightly, still on Sundays. The subscription will always be free. Though in the future, there may be a paid version with a bespoke writing coach service.
