If I wait until I have a load of content to pad out this newsletter, I’ll never get it posted. My life is a bit more spread out with different responsibilities, so I’m just going to send out a newsletter as it happens with different little nuggets for you.

I’ll always promote my latest offering.

You’ve heard I’m doing a Parents Writing Circle, right? It starts in March, so get on it if you’re feeling ready to make headway in your writing post-parenting. Doesn’t matter how long you’ve been a parent. I bet you’ve got some top-notch content you could get out. How cathartic would that be? Come and find out!

(If cost is an issue: please, please, please don’t let that hinder you. Just talk to me.)

Some submission/freelance/job opps:

Metro UK is looking for more shopping and lifestyle content writers as of today. Email: mel.evans@metro.co.uk

Bristol area: Avon Wildlife Trust is looking for a Communications Officer for maternity cover. Apply here. Closing date: 12th March

General inspiration

Prompts you didn’t know you needed:

Remind yourself why you like creative writing or writing in general. What book was it that made you decide you really needed to also write — not just read? From that place, look around the room and pick an item. Write about it as if it’s your first time ever writing, and the writing is making you so happy. Get excited about describing that item. Make it seem like your life depends on describing this one thing, because it is the most fun you’ve had in as long as you can remember.

What happened? Reply to this, and let me know!
